Daryl Dixon is out for blood in the second half of The Walking Dead Season 7. He won’t think twice about killing people.

Norman Reedus, who plays Daryl on the show, explained to Entertainment Weekly his character’s mental state now that he’s out of the Sanctuary. Unfortunately, Daryl will let his anger get the best of him and kill anyone who gets in his way.

“He wants revenge,” Reedus told EW . “He’s ready to fight. When he goes back in that last episode and hands Rick back his stuff, it was like, ‘Let’s go! Let’s go beat this guy up. Let’s go take what’s ours and fight this monster.’ So, you know, he’s in kill mode.”

Reedus added, “I feel like he spent his time in the hole thinking about Glenn and thinking about Abraham. He took it very personal, and felt like it was his fault and he was deserving what he was getting… Now he’s ready to get revenge. He’s ready to go kill everybody.”

Daryl arguably had it the worst after Glenn and Abraham’s death. Negan tortured Daryl to try and make him into Dwight 2.0. Daryl would rather die than to kneel before Negan. Of course, Negan knew this and took pleasure seeing Daryl at his worst. Still, Daryl refused to call himself Negan. Even Dwight was surprised with how resilient Daryl was as a captive.

Now, Daryl has something to prove to Rick, Maggie and the other members of Alexandria. It is Daryl’s fault Glenn died; his outburst lead to Negan swinging his bat at someone’s skull for a second time. Daryl knows there’s no bringing back the people they loved, but he can try to make things right by killing their murderer.

Do you think Daryl will make it past The Walking Dead Season 7 or is his time nearing an end? Let us know in the comments below. The Walking Dead Season 7 returns to Feb. 12 to AMC.
