Jeffrey Dean Morgan had an interesting encounter with an 80-year-old The Walking Dead fan while filming in Georgia. This woman was not a fan of Negan.
Morgan shared the hilarious experience during an interview with Entertainment Weekly. To make matters worse for Morgan, fellow The Walking Dead cast member Norman Reedus witnessed the encounter. Morgan will never be able to live it down.
“I was with Norman,” Morgan told EW . “I spend a lot of time with Norman because he lives in Georgia. He might not be alive on the show, people, just because I’m saying I was with Norman, but we had been riding motorcycles all day and we were in the middle of nowhere and stopped to get a coffee. And this lady is at our car, and she’s probably 80 years old, and she comes up and just flips me off and says ‘F— you!’ And Norman falls off his chair, laughing, and I’m like ‘Whoa! Whoa!’”
We’d say giving Negan the bird is the appropriate response. He potentially killed Glenn, Maggie, Daryl, Rosita, Michonne and/or Abraham. We don’t like Negan either. However, Morgan seems like a nice dude. The actor recently cleared the air regarding comments he made about Negan killing more than one person in The Walking Dead Season 7 premiere. Apparently, the quote he gave to Den of Geek was taken out of context, according to Morgan’s comments during an interview with Variety Latino.
“That’s not what I said," Morgan told Variety Latino . “I did an interview with this guy and I was talking about Negan’s arc and what he does in the course of being Negan on The Walking Dead . Instead of talking about the one person Negan kills—because Negan kills a lot more than one person on the lineup. And somehow he pieced that all together in such a way that it turned into the article that he wrote. It was to get people fired up. Negan does kill a lot of people in the next couple of years. Before we even meet him he’s killed a lot of people. Negan’s been around for a long time.”
Kind of feels like Morgan made that comment with a wink. We believe Negan killing more than one person in The Walking Dead Season 7 premiere would justify the horrendous cliffhanger from the Season 6 finale.
