You knew it was coming. There was no way around it. Rick and Negan are headed towards a war in The Walking Dead Season 7. Don’t know about you guys, but we’re ready to see heads roll when Negan finds out Daryl is missing and Maggie is still alive.

Check out AMC’s official synopsis for the second half of The Walking Dead Season 7 below:

"The first half of Season 7 saw Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and the group broken by Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), forced to fall under his will and brutally convinced to live under his rules. The second half of the season will focus on preparing for war and gathering the supplies and numbers to take Negan down once and for all.

"Rick's group will find out yet again that the world isn't what they thought it was. It's much bigger than anything they've seen so far. While they have a singular purpose--to defeat Negan--it won't come easy. More importantly, victory will require more than Alexandria. They need the numbers of the Kingdom and the Hilltop, but, similar to how Rick felt, Ezekiel (Khary Payton) and Gregory (Xander Berkeley) do not want bloodshed. To convince them otherwise will take more than speeches. The lengths Rick and the group will have to go to in order to find weapons, food and new fighters is nothing short of remarkable.

"We'll meet new survivors in incredible places. We'll see Rick and the group tested in ways we've never seen before. We'll see treachery from people we trust. Rick is confident as he will see his group and many others band together with the common goal of taking down Negan. But no amount of planning will prepare the group for all-out war with Negan and his army."

We can’t wait to see Rick, Ezekiel and Shiva in the same room. Rick doesn’t have the best poker face. You see his thoughts, feelings, emotions all throughout his face. We hope there’s a scene where Ezekiel casually explains to Rick why he has a tiger. The looks Rick will shoot Daryl will bring us joy. The looks Daryl will give Carol for messing around with Ezekiel will be even better.

However, we do expect a lot of bloodshed in the second half of The Walking Dead Season 7. There’s just no way Daryl and Carol can be so damn lucky. In an alternate universe, the Savior definitely would’ve shot Carol before Morgan saved her. And Daryl should’ve died of starvation or at least dehydration. There’s no way that dog food didn’t give him diarrhea and last we checked Gatorade isn’t commonly found in the zombie apocalypse.

This leads to another point. We wonder what it must feel like to find the last of something in the apocalypse, like the last Twinkie or the last Kit Kat bar. What if you found the last bottle of white rum and had enough cans of coconut milk to make Coquito? Is that feeling pure joy? Is it sadness? Are we all just Carl waiting for our can of chocolate pudding?

What do you think will happen in the second half of The Walking Dead Season 7? Is it finally time to let Daryl and Carol go? They’ve been through enough. A peaceful death seems appropriate. Who are we kidding? If Daryl dies, we riot!

The Walking Dead Season 7 returns this February to AMC.
