The second half of The Walking Dead Season 7 won’t be all doom and gloom. Jerry, Ezekiel’s right-hand man, will be back and ready with a few good laughs.

Cooper Andrews, who plays Jerry on the show, recently spoke to ComicBook.com about the character. The site compared Andrews’s character to Hurley from LOST for his comedic relief on the show. Andrews agreed it was an accurate comparison.

“I do get that every now and again,” Andrews told ComicBook.com about the Hurley comparison. “I actually did get to meet him when I was on Five-O, but I was like, ‘I will take that. I will gladly take that,’ because I actually loved Hurley. I feel like Jerry's the same way also. We can't really lose ourselves. Even though these people, they adapt, and Ezekiel says it more or less, that even though we've created this Kingdom, we've created this fantasy to not lose ourselves too much or it becomes crippling. He goes, ‘If we really dwell on how bad it could be,’ I feel like people will get lost in it. Yes, I am proud to take up the Hurley mantle if it's being handed around.”

We hope Good Guy Jerry sticks around on The Walking Dead. For the love of Carol’s cookies, please don’t kill off Jerry. Leave him alone for at least two more seasons. The show has its way of killing off the best characters in the most brutal of ways. Jerry almost seems like he’s trying really hard to hold on to the fantasy of King Ezekiel and The Kingdom. It’s a way to help him survive at the end of the day.

Great, now we miss Abraham and his one-liners. No one on the show can say things like “dingleberries” with a straight face like he could. Everyone was upset over Glenn’s death, but Abraham’s humor is definitely missed on the show.
