During Apple’s latest town hall meeting, Tim Cook reportedly said he doesn’t believe Apple should release a “cheaper, less feature-packed iPhone,” according to sources 9To5Mac spoke with that were in attendance.

It wasn’t clear if these comments were in response to recent rumors and anonymous leaks surrounding the iPhone 5se, which will supposedly be announced during the Apple March 2016 Event.

Cook said the comment in the context of continuing Apple’s expansion into growing markets, going on to say that “Apple’s research indicates that people across these regions are willing to spend more for a better experience,” according to 9To5Mac.

Reportedly, the iPhone 5se will replace the iPhone 5s as Apple’s 4-inch iPhone model at the same price point. Nearly one in three active iPhone users use a 4-inch version of the iPhone, as MacRumors reports. The release of the iPhone 5se would update the 4-inch model line’s specifications and feature capability to within shooting distance of the current iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus, leaving it only one generation behind the inner hardware of what is assumed to be the iPhone 7.

According to 9To5Mac, Cook reportedly teased some “‘far-off’ hardware announcements” in the upcoming years during the town hall meeting as well, and made a couple comments regarding another Apple rumor, saying that there was a “‘bright’ future for Apple in the living room” with the Apple TV and tvOS.

Apple released Apple Music Summer 2015, and have opened up the content streaming service to Android users, something that Cook says is helping Apple test the “waters for growing its services division through other platforms,” and “opening up the door for more porting in the future,” according to 9To5Mac.

In the same vein of thought, Apple has been reportedly holding talks with the “Hollywood creative community,” according to The Street , in hopes of creating original content and building a video streaming service.
