Telltale’s Batman series left off on quite the cliffhanger in Chapter 3. Those looking to continue the story don’t have much longer to wait. Chapter 4 of Batman, titled Guardian of Gotham, will be releasing on Nov. 22.
To celebrate, Telltale has released a haunting new trailer showing what the future has in store for Bruce Wayne. Looks like after his altercation with Oswald, Bruce has been imprisoned in Arkham Asylum. Based on the trailer, it looks like we’ll be running into a few familiar faces and the debut of Telltale’s version of The Joker.
The trailer also gives us a glimpse of Harvey Dent’s ultimate fall into becoming Two-Face. We don’t know how it will happen yet, but Dent’s face is certainly scarred up like it was in The Dark Knight.
In the press release, Telltale also mentioned that “ Players will leave this episode in very different places depending on where they choose to go in the third act, and this will greatly affect their story rolling into the season finale as well.” It seems like playing through Batman a few times and making different choices will be worth it to see all sides of the story Telltale is writing.
It may sound negative, but be prepared to wait a day or so after Nov. 22 to start playing. Telltale’s past releases of the Batman chapters have been a little rocky, with the chapters often not showing up as available to those with a Season Pass. If that’s the case on the 22nd, you’ll just have to wait for Telltale to get things sorted out.
