‘Supergirl’ Season 2 Finds New Big Bad In Teri Hatcher Of ‘Lois & Clark’

Supergirl Season 2 hasn’t really had a consistent big bad in a while. We also haven’t heard much about Cadmus as of late and White Martians haven’t attacked Earth-38 just yet. But now it looks like Supergirl is gearing up to change from the villain-of-the-week style to a season-long big bad. Teri Hatcher has been cast in the role, according to The CW. Her first appearance is still unknown.

Hatcher and current 'Supergirl' actor, Dean Cain, starred as Lois Lane and Clark Kent in the 'Lois & Clark' TV series in the 90s.

“No offense to any of the wonderful actresses who have also played the part, but Teri Hatcher is my all time favorite Lois Lane. To have her come back to the SuperWorld in a completely different part is an unbelievable gift to me, Greg, and the fans,” said Executive Producer Andrew Kreisberg in a release.

It’s possible Hatcher’s character has something to do with Cadmus now that Lillian Luthor is locked up. There’s always the possibility she’s a human guise for an alien, such as a White Martian hunting M’Gann or a Daxamite hunting Mon-El.

Hatcher previously starred as Lois Lane on Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, which aired from 1993-97. Her Superman co-star, Dean Cain, actually plays Kara’ adoptive father Jeremiah Danvers, who we’ve only seen on a couple episodes of Supergirl and is still stuck in Cadmus custody.
