Dragon Ball Xenoverse is now available on a variety of platforms, following its console and global Steam launches last week, but many fans are still looking for the fastest (and/or most efficient) ways to go about unlocking all of the extra content available in Dragon Ball Xenoverse.

But what would a Dragon Ball video game be without a visit from mythical creature (and corresponding magical spheres) that inspired the series' title?

In Dragon Ball Xenoverse, Shenron can be summoned any time that players manage to collect all seven of the dragon balls, and each visit comes with an opportunity for Dragon Ball Xenoverse players to wish for powerful new gear and/or Dragon Ball Xenoverse characters. Fortunately, a few members of the DBX community have already identified at least one method for discovering dragon balls much faster than the Dragon Ball Xenoverse dev team ever intended.

Here's how to farm dragon balls in Dragon Ball Xenoverse:

Once you're level 10, you'll need to start farming one of the many Parallel Quests available to Dragon Ball Xenoverse players throughout most of the game's campaign. Specifically, you'll need to farm Parallel Quest #2, "Prepare for the Attack of Saiyans!", and you'll need to complete the mission in a slightly different fashion than it typically calls for.

As soon as you're dropped into the quest, it's time to let off an offensive flurry that would make any Z fighter jealous. Specifically, you'll need to take down Krillin, Tien and Yamcha as fast as you possibly can. Once all three have fallen, a portal will open in the sky above Kami's Lookout, but DO NOT ENTER THE PORTAL YET.

After the portal appears, challenge the Time Patroller that appears in the doorway to Kami's Lookout. Take down the character as quickly as possible, ending the fight with your preferred Super move, and you should then get a notification that a new Material item and a new Key Item have been added to your inventory. If you don't get the notification, open the Pause menu and restart the encounter.

After getting the Key item notification, it's time to finish the mission and head back to town with one of the seven Earth-bound dragon balls. Find the portal, that you ignored after your first fight, and head through it to reach the final battle from the "Prepare for the Attack of Saiyans!" encounter.

It's almost important to remember that, after entering the portal, Dragon Ball Xenoverse players will want to transition to a more-conservative play style. According to Gamer Fuzion, dying during the fight with Gohan and Piccolo will reset the entire encounter, wiping away the dragon ball you just earned.

Once everything is said and done, you'll need to repeat this process six more times to get a full set of dragon balls. Twinfinite claims that this method will yield a new wish from Shenron "in around an hour", assuming you don't have truly abysmal luck during the Time Patroller fight.

Have you had a chance to wish for new Dragon Ball Xenoverse gear and/or characters yet? Not having much luck with this method of dragon ball farming? Want to share another method for finding new dragon balls in Dragon Ball Xenoverse?
