Chests are probably the most important resource at your disposal in Clash Royale. They provide gems, card upgrades and gold to help you improve your deck and defeat your opponents. If you are new to Clash Royale, understanding the types of chests that are available, how to get them and what they contain can help you plan and build a better deck.

Clash Royale Daily Bonus Chests

Free Chests

• Located at the top left of your main battle page

• A new one becomes available every four hours

• Background turns yellow when it can be opened

• Up to two can be stored before opening

• Each free chest contains gold coins, 4 cards and sometimes gems

• The kinds of cards you can get depend on the arena you are in. For example, if you are in arena 3, the chests can contain cards available in arena 3 and below.

• The better your rank in an arena, the better stuff you get in the free chests

Crown Chests

• Located at the top right of your main battle page

• Unlocks once every 24 hours.

• Once it unlocks you must win at least 10 battle crowns to unlock it. This can be done by winning 4-10 battles, depending on how many towers are in each battle.

• These chests contain gems, gold and cards.

• The kinds of cards you can get depend on the arena you are in. For example, if you are in arena 3, the chests can contain cards available in arena 3 and below.

• The better your rank in an arena, the better stuff you get in the crown chests

Clash Royale Battle Chests

Silver Chests

• Earned by winning battles

• Takes 3 hours to unlock or 18 gems

• Contains gold, cards and sometimes gems

• Each time you go up an area level, the gold and cards received increases

Silver Chest Contents by Arena

There are eight arenas in the game and at each the silver chests will contain:

• 20– 95 gold coins depending on the arena level.

• 3-11 cards which may be common, rare or epic, but there is no guarantee of a particular type.

Golden Chests

• Earned by winning battles

• Takes 8 hours or 48 gems to unlock

• Contains gold, cards and sometimes gems

• Each time you go up an area level, the gold and cards received increases

Golden Chest Contents by Arena

There are eight arenas in the game and at each the Golden chests will contain:

• 70– 304 gold coins depending on the arena level.

• 10-38 cards which may be common, rare or epic.

• Each Golden chest will contain a guaranteed 1-3 rare cards

Giant Chests

• Earned by winning battles or buying in the shop (210-490 gems depending on arena level)

• Takes 12 hours or 72 gems to unlock

• Contains gold, cards and sometimes gems

• Each time you go up an area level, the gold and cards received increases

Giant Chest Contents by Arena

There are eight arenas in the game and at each you receive:

• Between 550 – 2,470 gold coins depending on the arena level.

• 80-304 cards, which may be common, rare or epic.

• Each Giant chest will contain a guaranteed 8-30 rare cards depending on arena level

Magical Chests

• Earned by winning battles or buying in the shop (320-800 gems depending on arena level)

• Takes 12 hours or 72 gems to unlock

• ·Contains gold, cards and sometimes gems

• Each time you go up an area level, the gold and cards received increases

Magical Chest Contents by Arena

There are eight arenas in the game and at each a Magical chest will contain:

• 250 – 950 gold coins depending on the arena level.

• 30-113 cards which may be common, rare or epic.

• Each Magical chest will contain a guaranteed 8-30 rare cards and 1-3 epic cards depending on arena level

Super Magical Chests

• Earned by winning battles or buying in the shop (1,600-4,600 gems depending on arena level)

• Takes 24 hours or 144 gems to unlock

• Contains gold, cards and sometimes gems

• Each time you go up an area level, the gold and cards received increases

Super Magical Chest Contents by Arena

There are eight arenas in the game and at each a Super Magical chest will contain:

• 1,200 – 5,700 gold coins depending on the arena level.

• 180 - 684 cards which may be common, rare or epic.

• Each Super magical chest is guaranteed to contain 36-136 rare cards and 6 - 22 epic cards depending on arena level
