In great news for fans of Steven Universe ’s musical stylings, Steven Universe Soundtrack: Vol. 1 will be released globally on Friday, June 2.
The one song we know for certain will be on Steven Universe Soundtrack: Vol. 1 is of course the iconic theme song, “We Are the Crystal Gems.” Hum the first few chords on the show floor of any nerd-adjacent convention and you may start a riot, a singalong, or some other kind of unnerving nerd swarm.
The other show that should be on the Vol. 1 soundtrack is “Stronger Than You,” Garnet’s iconic song burning Jasper for being #ForeverAlone and featuring the glorious vocal stylings of Estelle. Since this soundtrack is titled Vol. 1 , it makes sense that a Vol. 2 should follow, so I will forgive the possible exclusion of songs from later episodes like “What’s The Use Of Feeling Blue,” sung by Broadway stage legend Patti Lupone in her role as Yellow Diamond and Lisa hannigan as Blue Diamond.
