Star Wars: Force Arena is getting a new balance patch Friday morning, and Netmarble has detailed every big change in the update. Luke is getting a much-needed nerf, Boba is getting buffed and unique cards are being tweaked.

The official post gets a little chatty, so we’ll give you the most critical details quickly.

LEADER CHANGES

  • Bossk : Snare duration reduced from 3.5 seconds to 3 seconds. The Elektro Net ability was believed to be too strong when paired with traps.
  • Admiral Thrawn : The Student Of War ability will take 1 second longer to charge. The Skilled Commander perk has been decreased by 1.5 seconds. He became too strong too quickly.
  • Boba Fett : Attack power increased from 68 to 71. He needed to be more powerful.
  • Orson Krenic : His Advanced Weaponry ability now offers a 10 percent recharge rate increase with no turret destruction requirements. This gives players more control over the boost and makes him easier to use.
  • Grand Inquisitor : HP increased from 1204 to 1228, dash speed increased by 15 percent and consecutive attack power increased by 50 percent. This buff will make him more useful.
  • Luke Skywalker : HP decreased from 1302 to 1250 and dash speed decreased by 20 percent. This should cut down on Luke rushes.
  • Sabine Wren : Consecutive attack decreased by 20 percent. This attribute was simply too strong.

UNIQUE CARD CHANGES

  • IG-88 : Leader/squad attack power increased from 144 to 152, attack power to building increased from 73 to 76 and skill attack power decreased from 150 percent to 125 percent. He was found to be too powerful at high levels.
  • Governor Pryce : Energy cost decreased from 5 to 3 and cool down time increased from 10 seconds to 12 seconds. This should make him more appealing.
  • Imperial Royal Guards : HP increased from 400 to 480 to make them more threatening.
  • Slave I : Energy cost decreased from 4 to 3 and damage dealt timing modified. This will make the card slightly more accessible.
  • Ben Kenobi : Mind Trick skill range decreased by 20 percent. It was too powerful.

OTHER CARD BALANCE TWEAKS

  • Hyper-Adrenal : Energy cost decreased from 3 to 2 and duration decreased from 6 seconds to 4.5 seconds. Reduced energy cost should make it more usable.
  • Tie Bomber : Energy cost decreased from 5 to 4 to make it more appealing.
  • Zabrak Assassins : Energy cost decreased from 5 to 4 to make it more appealing.
  • Imperial Jumptroopers : Range increased from 7 to 7.5 to make them stronger.

The update is expected to be live by 4:30 a.m. EST on Feb. 3. Star Wars: Force Arena is available now on Android and iOS. Be sure to check out our beginner’s guide, Leaders list and best deck configurations if you need some help.
