A single line of dialogue may have leaked from the first trailer (or teaser, more likely) for Star Wars: Episode 8, which will presumably debut before Rogue One: A Star Wars Story on Dec. 15. The possible trailer leak originated with Youtuber Mike Zeroh, who claims several sources for the leak. Screen Rant decided to run with it, adding an aura of legitimacy this rumor probably doesn’t deserve. And here I am, telling you about it too. You better pray to your gods that journalists covering items of actual importance have slightly higher sourcing standards (they don’t).

But really, this sounds fairly plausible. Here’s the line in question, reportedly said to Rey by Luke Skywalker:

“You contain the spark that will rekindle the fire.”

Sure, why not. It certainly makes sense. Luke Skywalker entered voluntary exile after his dream of reestablishing the Jedi Order ended with a pile of dead kids speared on the end of surly teen Kylo Ren’s lightsaber. It was the Younglings debacle all over again. That would weigh heavily on anyone’s head, even a Jedi Master’s with exceptionally luxurious Jedi hair.

So when Rey, a seeming Force prodigy, shows up at his grassy doorstep, it would make sense that Luke Skywalker would interpret her presence as a last chance for the future of the Jedi.

With Rian Johnson — t he genre whiz behind Looper and Brick — penning both Episode 8 and Episode 9, we can expect both a massive (and weird!) expansion of Jedi lore, plus more snappy lines like this rumored bit of dialogue from the first teaser trailer for Star Wars: Episode 8.
