'Star Wars Battlefront' DLC Rumors: ‘Outer Rim,’ ‘Bespin,’ ‘Death Star’ Updates May Arrive As Early As March Star Wars Battlefront

A post from the Star Wars Battlefront forums that allegedly contained leaked information regarding an upcoming DLC release date has since been taken down, but not before WCCFTech copied the details and shared an article. If what the forum poster said is true, expect to see three new DLC packs become available for purchase released intermittently from March 2016 to November 2016.

The first DLC pack mentioned in the post is called ‘Outer Rim’ and will be released March 12. It will bring with it two more game modes and maps, plus new weapons and abilities.

The first game mode will be called ‘Invasion,’ and will be the largest in the game pitting 30 vs. 30 players against one another. This mode will be playable on the “outskirts of Sullust.”

The second game mode from the expansion pack is called ‘Scramble’ and will be 12 vs. 12, taking place in the passageways underneath Jabba the Hutt’s Palace. This mode will introduce game cards, which allow traps to be set on the map.

The second DLC pack mentioned in the post is called ‘Bespin’ and will be released July 17. Supposedly, two new heroes will be introduced in this DLC expansion pack, Chewbacca and Lando Calrissian, and so will a new game mode called ‘Bounty Hunt.’ In this game mode, players will take on the role of bounty hunters attempting to locate Princess Leia and Luke Skywalker before the pair escape.

Lastly, the third DLC pack mentioned in the post is called ‘Death Star’ and will be released Nov. 12. Not much information was shared about this DLC pack but hopefully it’ll included some space battle action.
