A new teaser image for new Star Guardian skins just appeared on the League Of Legends Facebook page. Ezreal, Syndra, Miss Fortune, Soraka and Ahri will all be getting Sailor Moon inspired outfits to battle the monsters scuttling out of the Rift. Star Guardian Ezreal was actually leaked in that massive dump from Riot Games back in April, which also introduced us to “shotgun knees” Urgot. This team of do-gooders should be on the PBE later today, giving fans a better look at the line-up of prima donnas ready to whoop some tail.

The Star Guardian skin theme is now one of League Of Legend’s largest, totaling 11 skins after the new release. Riot really seems to like pretty colors and schoolgirl uniforms because they are charging head first into kawaii territory. It seems a little weird who Riot chose to don the Star Guardian cowl – nearly every champion picked has had a skin released very recently or already has a similar looking outfit. Syndra just got her SKT 2016 World Championship duds, representing League’s greatest player Faker, and Pulsefire Ezreal just got a massive overhaul in May. Pink Arcade skins for Miss Fortune and Ahri already exist, making the Star Guardian skins seem like overkill.

Riot will make skins for champions that people want to play, but it still seems a little odd there are still so many champions who get no love and possess very few skins. I’m tired of all the “pretty” League champions getting all the love, so here are some of the game’s under-loved heroes that could have benefitted from a Star Guardian skin.

Yorick - Alas, poor Yorick, you still haven’t received one new skin since your launch in 2011. It’s been 2,239 days, or 3,224,160 minutes, since he’s been given some love and I feel it’s about time. The grave digger is still all shiny and new after his rework, so wouldn’t it be a perfect time to catch fans off-guard with an unexpected skin like this? His shovel can turn into a magic wand, his ghouls can turn into super-chibi monsters and his ultimate ghost can shoot rainbows. There’s no reason you can’t change a champion’s identity in a skin – other than making you look cool, that’s their whole purpose.

Shyvana- The dragon lady that’s no longer BFFs with Jarvan IV after her lore rewrite is also in desperate need of some tender loving care. Her scales haven’t glistened in years, even though there’s been a sudden resurgence in her popularity after players started to realize she can deal a ton of damage. Star Guardians fight giant monsters that threaten humanity, so couldn’t they use a dragon on their side? I’d love to come gliding in on wings of light, breathing crystal fire on minions or foolish Teemos in my way.

Urgot- One of the longest running jokes in League of Legends should have been solidified as a bonafide meme. Fans have been mashing the cutesy style of the Star Guardian skins with League’s ugliest champion for years now, and with the butcher’s rework a few months ago, it’s the perfect time to release the beast in pigtails. Though he might not be as vindictive or evil as he used to be, he’s still pretty gross and would benefit from an adorable makeover. I’d be playing Star Guardian Urgot all day everyday, just to show Riot that I respect creativity over cuteness in regards to skins.
