Starfire joins Injustice 2 NetherRealm

The third DLC character for Injustice 2 is Starfire and at San Diego Comic-Con 2017, the first gameplay footage of the princess from Tamaran was released. However, how Starfire fights and moves in Injustice 2 isn’t the only news to come from the new trailer. It also revealed a brand new premium skin that will transform Superman into Bizarro.

Check out the Starfire Injustice 2 gameplay trailer and see if you can spot Bizarro amidst the chaos.

Starfire’s playstyle is very unique in Injustice 2 but does has similarities to Firestorm. She hovers in the air as she moves and can do corkscrews in midair and torpedo her body at her opponent.

Not to mention her patented star bolts that she can either launch as a straight beam, short bursts or as extensions of her own arms as she twists through the air.

We also see that she can launch a larger, slower starbolt to play mind games with her opponent. She can also hover high into the air like Ermac in Mortal Kombat or the aforementioned Firestorm.

And then we have her super, which sends her opponent into space as she continually blasts you with her starbolts before going supernova.

Bizarro, again, makes a quick appearance in the Starfire gameplay trailer but you can see that he has the same standing animation as Superman but just with gray skin and the backwards S (obviously).

However, what makes Bizarro in Injustice 2 unique is that his powers are the opposite of Superman’s. The only example of this shown was Superman’s ice breath is swapped out with a fire breath that incinerates your opponent.

Starfire’s release date was not revealed but you can purchase her in the season pass, the ultimate pack, or in Fighter Pack 1. If you want to purchase her individually, NetherRealm Studios usually releases characters separately a week after they are released in the DLC packs.

Injustice 2 is available now for PS4 and Xbox One.
