Splatoon 2 and Arms are two of the most highly-anticipated games for the Nintendo Switch and fans will finally get release dates for both titles during a new Nintendo Direct on Wednesday, April 12. Switch fans looking forward to both titles should expect news and gameplay never before revealed.

For Arms, the Nintendo Direct will likely go into the advanced gameplay, including how each character and weapon differs from one another, lending themselves to more strategy when fighting others. Perhaps we’ll even get a new character or information regarding a single-player campaign during the Direct.

As for Splatoon 2, information has begun to roll out about some of the features including Ability Rerolls . Fans will likely get more information on new levels, weapons and perhaps the single-player campaign that was teased by Splatoon 2’s producer.

What’s peculiar about the April 12 Nintendo Direct announcement is the Nintendo website states there will be information on both the Switch and 3DS. Arms and Splatoon 2 are exclusive to the Switch so there also will be news on upcoming 3DS titles, presumably Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia and maybe a North American release date for Monster Hunter XX.

There’s the possibility of a new Nintendo 3DS game reveal during this week’s Direct, but at this time it’s all speculation.
