  • Jyn Erso (Felicity Jones) - We met Jyn in the Rogue One trailer. Here she is described as “a highly skilled soldier and warrior.”
  • Captain Cassian Andor (Diego Luna) - A Rebel Alliance officer
  • Baze (Wen Jiang) - A freelance assassin
  • K-250 Enforcer Droid (Alan Tudyk) - An Imperial droid retasked for the Death Star mission, this is our first good look at the CG character Tudyk will voice. He’s likely to be a font of knowledge about Imperial matters.
  • Bodhi Rook (Riz Ahmed) - Another Rebel soldier, we don’t know much about this guy yet.
  • Pao and Bistan - One of the surprises from these Visual Guide preview pages are additional Rogue One team members, like these warrior beast aliens.
  • Chirrut (Donnie Yen) - Described as a “spiritual warrior,” Chirrut is blind, but probably has Force vision, right?

  • Director Krennic (Ben Mendelsohn) - The main baddie of Rogue One , Krennic is described here as the “Director of the Imperial Military.”
  • Death Troopers - Unfortunately, the entry on Death Troopers is no more than vague copypasta, so we don’t know much more about those elite stormtrooper corp.
  • Darth Vader - Long rumored to appear in Rogue One as at least a cameo, here’s confirmation that Darth Vader will indeed be standing between the Rebels and the Death Star plans.

New ‘Rogue One’ Ships, Walkers, and Droids

Some of the coolest stuff in the Rogue One: A Star Wars Story - The Official Visual Guide preview is new ships, walkers and droids.

The new TIE Striker.

This is the TIE Striker, “single-pilot vehicles designed for fast-paced dogfights with Rebel X-wings and other starfighters.” Though they may look like a predecessor, the TIE Striker served concurrently with the TIE Interceptor.

Perhaps to counter the TIE Striker, the Rebel Alliance has a new ship of its own in Rogue One, the Rebel Starfighter “S-Wing.”

Rogue One also features a new Imperial walker, although the AT-ACT doesn’t look all that different from your standard AT-AT, just with a slimmer head.

These “classified” Enforcer Droid K-250 blueprints reveal some more details about Tudyk’s character (it remains to be seen whether evil versions of the K-250 will appear in Rogue One), including its facial “vocabulator.”

That’s a lot of new data from Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, due out in theaters on Dec. 16. For more you’ll have to wait for the release of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story - The Official Visual Guide.
