While Rockstar has steadily delivered new DLC updates for GTA Online, the developer has been awfully quiet about its other project: Red Dead Redemption 2. Via Rockstar's last announcement back in May, RDR2 is expected to arrive on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One by spring 2018. What's more, the blog post also teased when fans could expect more details about the game:

"We are very sorry for any disappointment this delay causes, but we are firm believers in delivering a game only when it is ready," stated Rockstar. "We are really excited to bring you more details about the game this summer."

The last day of summer is Friday, Sept. 22, which means Rockstar has exactly 10 days to make good on its promise. And while we're still waiting on substantial details, reports suggest the developer is at least up to something.

Last week, redditor trevors685 shared a screenshot of a Google Opinion Rewards survey that reveals Rockstar is asking players about the game. Their questions include, “How much communication have you seen or heard about Red Dead Redemption 2?” and “How likely are you to purchase Red Dead Redemption 2?” Rockstar's survey is likely a precursor to a major marketing and advertising campaign for RDR2.

Barring any further delays, Red Dead Redemption 2 should arrive no later than the last day of spring on June 21. Even then, it means the highly anticipated sequel may not arrive until as late as nine months from now.

"This outlaw epic set across the vast and unforgiving American heartland will be the first Rockstar game created from the ground up for the latest generation of console hardware, and some extra time is necessary to ensure that we can deliver the best experience possible for our fans," Rockstar explained.
