The DLC update for Rock Band 4 that was supposed to come out in January has been delayed to February Harmonix

At the Rock Band 4 Pax East 2016 panel, the Harmonix team talked about the past, present and future of the game series and the future of Rock Band 4 looks very bright.

The first news was the next DLC songs coming on April 25 and they include “Redneck” by Lamb of God, “What I like about You” from The Romantics and “Dope Nose” from Weezer.

But besides the frequent DLC song updates to Rock Band 4, the roadmap for the game for the rest of the year was mapped out for the panel. The first May updates were the inclusion of Battleborn characters, Miko and Thorns to the character selection screen. The Double Kick function will return in May as well.

June will introduce Practice Mode that will let players practice certain parts of songs and mix the speed up to your liking to better grasp the song. The Summer will see no updates for Rock Band 4 in what the panel called “the end of Chapter 1” so that the development team can polish up the massive update coming in the Fall. There will be an Expansion Pack that is the team took Destiny’s “The Taken King” expansion as inspiration for the hugeness of this expansion.

The Music Library will also be enhanced so players can rate songs, filters and the ability to even hide songs you don’t like.

Also, an Ion Adapter is coming for the Xbox so fans rejoice!

But then the HUGE update coming to Rock Band 4 is in Holiday 2016 with Online Multiplayer. More of this mode will come during E3 2016 so stay tuned. The price of the Rock Band 4 expansion pack will also likely be coming to E3.
