The latest Resident Evil 7 biohazard trailer takes a look at a man named Jack. This man is special. You can shoot him three times in the chest and he’ll get right back up.
Sounds like Jack knows how to have a good time! Capcom is really increasing the hype for Resident Evil 7 biohazard teasers . Each “Vol.” they release highlights some interesting features about the game. We learned there are recorders lying around the Baker residence for players to save their progress, knives are valuable for survival, and you don’t want to pick up ringing telephones, ever.
More importantly, Resident Evil 7 biohazard doesn’t look like it’ll rely on jump scares to really get players to poop their pants. We love a good creepy atmosphere that builds tension just as much as turning the corner and seeing a machete-wielding psychopath. We see you Capcom, let’s hope this Resident Evil game takes the franchise places it’s never gone before.
Speaking of gameplay, producer Masochika Kawata recently explained to Yugatech how the new save system for Resident Evil 7 biohazard works. Developers have completely ditched the “chapter” experience for an auto-save system so players won’t lose their progress when they die. However, the save system also changes depending on the difficulty if you’re looking for a challenge.
“The game is a linear experience, meaning not that there’s only one way through, rather it takes place in a linear timeline, so it’s not divided into chapters,” Kawata told Yugatech. “However, as far as saving is concerned, there’s an auto-save system, so if you die you can restart not as far back. There will also be rooms to act as manual save points. Just to note, depending on the difficulty situation that you choose, the saving system also varies. If you choose a harder difficulty, the saving system won’t be so nice to you.”
Get ready to clench those buttcheeks, y’all! Resident Evil 7 biohazard will be released PS4, Xbox One and PC on Jan. 24, 2017.
