Earlier this week, we reported a new Poland operator for Rainbow 6 Siege leaked on reddit. As Ubisoft announced in its Operation: Health announcement, Poland will no longer have its own seasonal DLC and map, instead each operator will be stacked with one of the two remaining major DLCs: Hong Kong and South Korea. And while we've yet to hear any news regarding the two major updates, new reports suggest another smaller update is coming to Rainbow Six Siege as well.
Via the Rainbow6TTS subreddit, the official Technical Test Servers will undergo stress tests on upgraded servers to further improve server stability.
"...We will be upgrading the servers that you play on every day. Testing for some of the server based features has already started on the TTS, but we are excited to begin testing our upgraded servers in the next TTS, set to open later today (August 2nd)," the reddit post began.
"The results of each TTS phase will be reviewed by our teams. If we find an issue during one of the TTS phases, then it could potentially lead to a delay in the live deployment. The goal is to provide players with better quality servers, and more stability, which means we need to ensure that our changes are 100% ready to deploy live before we do."
Whatever gets polisted in TTS will eventually make its way to the game. So far, we've received One-Step matchmaking, balance changes, as well as the recently added Alpha Pack system.
There's no release date for the Rainbow Six Siege server upgrades, but we do expect the changes made shortly. In addition, fans also speculate August will yield the highly anticipated Hong Kong DLC, featuring two Special Duties Unit operators, one of Poland's GROM operators as well as a new Hong Kong map.
