It’s the last day of May, and Sony waited until the very last minute to announce the list of free games coming to PlayStation consoles in June. While the PS3 and Vita games aren’t too exciting, PS4 gamers will be treated to the wonderful Life Is Strange, along with more games.

PS4

The first game coming for free to PS4 in June will be Killing Floor 2. This first-person shooter puts players in the role of zombie hunters looking to rid the world of those infected with a deadly virus. Taking place a month after the events of the first Killing Floor, the sequel shows the virus has spread beyond Europe and is destroying the world. If you play games with friends online, Killing Floor 2 features co-op gameplay for up to six players at once.

The second game coming for PS4 owners subscribed to PS+ is the five-part episodic game Life Is Strange. Life Is Strange follows the story of Max Caulfield, a high school photographer who discovers she has the ability to go back in time. Of course, if you change the past, there will be some pretty serious repercussions that will change the present and future. The game earned high praise from iDigitallTimes, and we cannot recommend playing Life Is Strange enough.

PS4 players will also be able to unlock the two PS Vita games Neon Chrome and Spy Chameleon via cross-buy as well.

PS3

The first game coming for PS3 owners with a PS+ membership in June is Abyss Odyssey. This strange game mixes platforming with fighting game-style combat mechanics while set in Santiago, Chile. Players control a set of heroes who must defeat a warlock whose dreams have begun manifesting into the real world and causing havoc.

The second game coming to PS3 owners in June is WRC 5: World Rally Championships. This rally racing game features a wide variety of tracks, with players racing on dirt, snow, asphalt and more to prove who is the best rally racer.

PS Vita

The first game for PS Vita owners with a PS+ membership in June is Neon Chrome. This is a top-down cyberpunk shooter with some roguelike elements thrown in for good measure. However, unlike other twin-stick shooters, Neon Chrome features both destructible environments as well as different player roles, allowing you to approach each gameplay session a little differently.

The last game included in June’s PS+ lineup is Spy Chameleon. This stealthy action puzzle game plays similarly to Monaco, where players must sneak around unnoticed by the different guards. The hook to Spy Chameleon is that you are effectively invisible while standing on an object the same color as your chameleon. Like any good chameleon, players must change colors to sneak through levels undetected.

As a reminder, these PS Vita games can also be downloaded on the PS4 via Cross-Buy.

So what do you think? Are there any games coming for free you are excited to play? What games do you hope are included in the PS+ list for July? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
