The Pokémon Company is celebrating 2018 with monthly distributions of Legendary Pokémon for Pokémon Sun And Moon and Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon starting in February. Dialga and Palkia were the first two Legendaries announced for the year-long celebration, and trainers can now download one or both of these Pokémon.
From Feb. 2 to Feb. 28, Pokémon trainers in the U.S. can drop by their local GameStop to pick up a special card that has a serial code on the back. Trainers will either receive Dialga or Palkia from the code depending on which Gen 7 game they use.
Dialga can only be downloaded onto Pokémon Moon or Ultra Moon and Palkia to Pokémon Sun or Ultra Sun . Both Gen 4 Legendary Pokémon have different levels and different items based on the game they are downloaded to.If a trainer puts Dialga and Palkia into Moon or Sun , they will come at Level 60 with no held item. Download onto Ultra Sun or Ultra Moon and they will come at Level 100 and hold a Gold Bottle Cap.
HOW TO DOWNLOAD DIALGA OR PALKIA
Once you’ve picked up your GameStop card, boot up your game and choose the Mystery Gift tab. Select RECEIVE GIFT then GET WITH CODE, connect to the Internet and input your code.
In the past, trainers have called Nintendo Customer Service if their local GameStop didn’t have enough codes. By providing a Network ID, Nintendo would give a code over the phone. It’s an option to consider if you are unable to make it to a GameStop.
February is just the beginning of The Pokémon Company’s year-long distribution of Legendaries. Some will be via GameStop, others will be distributed with codes from the official Pokémon website or simply by connecting to the internet.
