The latest online competition for Pokémon Sun and Moon is the April International Challenge and those who participate will be gifted three Mega Stones to Mega Evolve the Hoenn starters.

Mega Sceptile, Blaziken and Swampert are not available in Pokémon Sun and Moon but by participating in the April International Challenge, trainers will get their hands on these rare items to boost the power of these powerful Pokémon.

The April International Challenge online competition will have Double Battles using VGC 2017 rules requiring the Alola Pokédex only. This means Cosmog, Cosmoem, Solgaleo, Lunala, Magearna, Necrozma and Zygarde are not allowed. Mega Stones are also not allowed.

Registration will be open from April 19 to April 27, while battles will run from April 28 to April 30. All entrants who partake in three battles will get the Sceptilite, Blazikenite and Swampertite Mega Stones.

If you want to sign up for the April International Challenge and win the three Mega Stones, follow these steps:

First, log on to your account from the Pokémon Global Link (PGL) homepage and select Online Competitions in the main menu. You’ll then be able to read and accept the regulations on the PGL.

You’ll need a Pokémon Trainer Club account (if you don’t have one, you can sign up here ) your own Pokémon Sun or Pokémon Moon video game, and a Battle Team of eligible Pokémon.

Once you’ve signed up for the April International Challenge, you’ll need to download your Digital Player ID within your Sun or Moon copy of the game. To do so, select Festival Plaza on the X menu in your game, select Battle, Visit the Battle Spot, and then Online Competition.

It needs to be noted that when you download your Digital Player ID, the lock on your Battle Team for any previous competitions will be removed.

So what Pokémon do you plan to use in this new Sun and Moon online competition? Which of the three Mega Stones will you use first? Sound off in the comments section below.
