The latest Pokémon Sun and Moon trailer had a lot of information regarding new Pokémon and some of the cool features coming to the Alola Region.

We finally got to see the final evolutions of the Alola Starters, Rowlet, Litten and Popplio, the official reveal of Alola Persian and the rest of the Alola Guardians, including their typings and abilities.

But the biggest mystery behind the new Sun and Moon trailer is how the Pokémon League will be formed.

Here’s some interesting Pokémon Sun and Moon information you may have missed from today’s announcement.

CREATING A POKEMON LEAGUE

At the end of the new Sun and Moon trailer, it was revealed that the Alola Region will have a Pokémon League… it’s just not built yet.

It’s assumed that by the time you complete all of the Island Challenges, the Pokémon League will be open to your trainer so you can become Champion. But perhaps your journey through Sun and Moon will have you recruit some of the Kahunas and Trial Captains to create a Pokémon League like the previous six generations.

There are five confirmed Trial Captains in Sun and Moon, but there were two new trainers shown at the end of the special demo who could very well be Trial Captains. That will give us seven Captains, with another yet to be shown, giving us our eight Gym Leaders.

We have only two Kahunas revealed so far but there is one for every island so there will be four in total. They can act as the Elite Four with your character as….the Champion? Or will your Rival act as the Champion?

There’s still a lot of information we don’t know, but the speculation will keep everyone busy until the game's release.

COSMOG AND LILLIE

We spoke a little about Lillie’s possible connection to Solgaleo and Lunala in our hands-on of Sun and Moon. However, the little Pokémon stowed away in Lillie’s bag has now been revealed as Cosmog, the adorable Psychic-type Pokémon.

Details on what Cosmog’s role in Sun and Moon’s story wasn’t revealed but from the demo data mining, it could very well be a pre-evolution of one if not both Legendaries. It shares the Psychic typing with both Lunala and Solgaelo, and looks an awful like them.

Just keep your eyes peeled to this little guy as we get closer to Sun and Moon’s release.

ALOLA GUARDIANS’ NEW MOVES

We finally have the other three Alola Guardians revealed. Tapu Koko will be joined by Tapu Bulu, Tapu Lele and Tapu Fini.

They all share the Fairy typing and will share two new moves. The first is Nature’s Madness that reduces the target’s HP by half. The Alola Guardians all share a new Z-Move. Guardian of Alola lets any of the Tapus summon a giant golem that slams the opponent. It will reduce 75 percent of the target’s remaining HP.

Not only that but Tapu Lele has a brand new ability called Psychic Surge that activates a terrain like the other Tapus do. However, this terrain is based on Psychic powers and will increase the damage of Psychic-type moves and prevent priority moves from hitting.
