The Pokémon Anniversary movie is finally coming to the West this fall, and to celebrate The Pokémon Company will distribute special Ash-Hat Pikachu for trainers to download into their Pokémon Sun and Moon games.
Pokémon the Movie: I Choose You will retell the first episode of the anime that launched the franchise into a global phenomenon. To mark the occasion, there will be six different Pikachu distributed, each with their own special look based on different regions in the Pokémon world. They all come with the special Pikashium Z-Crystal to unleash a devastating signature move.
Here's all the information on the special Pikachu distribution.
Beginning Sept. 19, a special code for a different Pikachu will appear on the official Pokémon website each week. Trainers will only be able to transfer one of these Pikachu to one copy of Pokémon Sun or Moon.

Here’s the schedule for the Ash Pikachu distribution.
September 19–25: Ash’s Pikachu (Original Cap)
September 26 – October 2: Ash’s Pikachu (Hoenn Cap)
October 3–9: Ash’s Pikachu (Sinnoh Cap)
October 10–16: Ash’s Pikachu (Unova Cap)
October 17–23: Ash’s Pikachu (Kalos Cap)
October 24–30: Ash’s Pikachu (Alola Cap)
So which Ash Pikachu should you choose? It depends on your preference and whether you favor a specific region over another. But each Ash Pikachu does come with slightly varied movesets that you may want to consider before claiming your Pikachu.
Original Cap Pikachu comes with the moves Thunderbolt, Thunder, Quick Attack and Agility.
Hoenn Cap Pikachu has the moves Thunderbolt, Thunder, Quick Attack and Iron Tail.
Sinnoh Cap Pikachu comes with Thunderbolt, Quick Attack, Iron Tail and Volt Tackle.
Unova Cap Pikachu has Thunderbolt, Quick Attack, Iron Tail and Volt Tackle.
Kalos Cap Pikachu has Thunderbolt, Quick Attack, Iron Tail, Electro Ball.
Alola Cap Pikachu has Thunderbolt, Iron Tail, Quick Attack and Electro Ball.
Another special Ash Pikachu will be distributed specifically for Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon . To obtain the Movie Pikachu, you have to go see the Pokémon Movie when it premieres in theaters this November, where you will get a QR Code.
