Now that Entei, Suicune and Raikou have appeared in different parts of the world, Pokémon Go players are figuring out which Pokémon to take into battle to completely counter anything the three Legendary Dogs can dish out.

A post from RyanoftheDay over at the Silph Road subreddit breaks down each of the three Legendary Dog Pokémon with the Pokémon trainers should be bringing to battle.

The post states that if you’re looking to take on Entei, the Fire-type Legendary, you should take the following Pokémon:

  • Omastar with any combination of moves that doesn’t include Mud Shot.
  • Golem with any moveset.
  • Vaporeon with Water Gun and either Hydro Pump or Aqua Tail.
  • Tyranitar with Bite and Stone Edge.

If you’re looking to take down Suicune, the Water-type, bring these Pokémon:

  • Zapdos with Charge Beam and Thunderbolt.
  • Either Venusaur or Exeggutor with Solar Beam, Petal Blizzard or Seed Bomb.
  • Dragonite with Dragon Breath or Dragon Tail with Outrage, Dragon Claw or Hurricane.
  • Jolteon with Thunder Shock and Thunderbolt or Discharge.

Trainers looking to defeat and catch Raikou should bring these Pokémon:

  • Rhydon with Mud Slap and Earthquake or Stone Edge.
  • Donphan with any move and Earthquake.
  • Golem with Mud Slap or Mud Shot and Earthquake or Stone Edge.
  • Dragonite with Dragon Breath or Dragon Tail with Outrage or Dragon Claw.

RyanoftheDay also lists Pokémon trainers may want to consider bringing into battle, especially if they don’t have hard-to-find/catch Pokémon like Tyranitar and Zapdos.

For Suicune, trainers can alternate with Victreebel, Vileplume, Meganium and Tangela. Raikou may have a hard time getting passed Nidoking, Nidoqueen, Tyranitar, Sandslash and Machamp. Rhydon, Feraligatr, Gyarados and Kingdra can be suitable counters for Entei.

The three Legendary Dog Pokémon will appear in one part of the world for a month starting Aug. 31 to Sept. 30. They will then change to another for the second month from Sept. 30 to Oct. 31 before finally appearing in the third area for only one day (Oct. 31).

Here’s where to find Entei, Suicune and Raikou will appear in Pokémon Go.

  • Raikou can be battled throughout the Americas.

  • Entei can be battled throughout Europe and Africa.

  • Suicune can be battled throughout the Asia-Pacific region.
