The Pokémon Company has released a trailer for a new animated weekly series on its YouTube channel. Pokémon Generations will show classic moments from throughout the 20-year history of the video games.

While the Pokémon anime has some of the classic moments in it, and the fantastic Pokémon Origins mini-series went through the entirety of Pokémon Red and Blue, this will be the first time memorable moments from other generations have been animated.

Take a look at the trailer for Pokémon Generations below.

The Pokémon Company released this description of the new animated shorts that accompanied the trailer, letting viewers know how long the series will go on.

“The new animated series Pokémon Generations revisits each generation of the Pokémon video game series to shed new light on some timeless moments. From the earliest days in the Kanto region to the splendor of the Kalos region, go behind the scenes and witness Pokémon history with new eyes! These bite-sized adventures, about 3 to 5 minutes long, will be released every week through Dec. 23, 2016.”

The Pokémon Company also released the official poster for Pokémon Generations that shows some of the characters and Pokémon you should expect to see; it’s obvious that a lot of Legendary Pokémon will make appearances.

From the Dog Trio of the Johto Region to the Red Gyarados and to Perfect Zygarde, Pokémon fans will have a lot of different stories to take in once Pokémon Generations begins.

The new series is also promoting how these stories will take place from the point of view of characters whose stories haven’t been told before. The biggest one being Blue’s defeat of the Elite Four before Red shows up to dethrone him.
