With no Nintendo NX news to speak of, Ubisoft CEO, Yves Guillemot has been a pretty good mouthpiece for the company on all things NX.

In a recent shareholders call to alleviate concerns over a possible hostile takeover by Vivendi, Guillemot took the time to speak about the Nintendo NX including the potential the supposed hybrid console could have on the gaming market.

“I believe Nintendo will be back in the race with the NX,” Guillemot said in French during the call as first noticed by Chloé Woitier on Twitter -- via VentureBeat.

Ubisoft has had a good relationship with Nintendo since the Wii where the company established new franchises like the Just Dance and Rabbids series. So it would serve Guillemot and Ubisoft’s interests to keep hype for the Nintendo NX alive.

The Ubisoft CEO has gone on record recently talking about the NX in a Ubisoft presentation earlier this month.

“The new Nintendo [gaming system] is a fantastic machine,” Guillemot said. “It’s really a new approach. It’s really Nintendo — coming with something new again. We love it.”

The Nintendo NX is slated to to release in March 2017 and the only confirmed titles for the upcoming console is the new Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild . Although reports of a Mario and Pokemon are out, only The Pokemon Company has come out and confirmed that the 20-year-old franchise will be coming to the next gen console.
