Nintendo has finally announced its plans for E3 2017 and those who want more information on the Nintendo Switch and its growing library of games will be happy to know that the platform will be receiving the spotlight this year.

The highlight of Nintendo’s E3 presence in 2017 is that fans will be able to get their hands on Super Mario Odyssey for the first time ever.

“Our various E3 activities will showcase the next steps for Nintendo Switch, from a summer of social competitive gaming to a holiday season highlighted by a milestone Mario adventure,” said Reggie Fils-Aime, President and COO, Nintendo of America in a press release. “With Nintendo Treehouse: Live at E3, fans at home can watch in-depth gameplay of Nintendo Switch and Nintendo 3DS games launching this year.”

Nintendo’s E3 activities kick off Tuesday, June 13, at 9 a.m. PT with its Nintendo Spotlight: E3 2017 video presentation. This yearly E3 Nintendo Direct will be available to view live at the official Nintendo E3 page. Fans should expect the E3 presentation to give more details about Super Mario Odyssey and other Nintendo Switch games, with a focus on games launching in 2017.

Immediately following the Nintendo Spotlight, Nintendo is bringing back Nintendo Treehouse: Live at E3, a live-streamed showcase of upcoming games for Nintendo Switch and the Nintendo 3DS family of systems. Gameplay for all the featured games will be streamed from the E3 show floor June 13 to June 15 on the official Nintendo E3 page as well as on Nintendo’s channels on YouTube and Twitch.

The Nintendo Treehouse at E3 2017 will again give behind-the-scenes info and commentary from game developers and members of the Nintendo Treehouse team.

Alongside Super Mario Odyssey, Nintendo will be hosting two live tournaments during E3 on its social platforms for both Arms and Splatoon 2 f or the Nintendo Switch. Both competitions will be streamed from the E3 show floor.

Splatoon 2 World Inkling Invitational will begin on June 13, which will compose of four pre-qualified teams from the U.S., Japan, Europe and Australia/New Zealand.

The 2017 Arms Open Invitational will take place on June 14. Check out the Nintendo E3 2017 schedule below.

While there is still a lot we don’t know about Nintendo’s E3 presentation, it’s been hinted that there are still Nintendo Switch titles that have yet to be announced that will be revealed at E3. The often rumored Pokemon Stars title is still being discussed while the Mario and Rabbids crossover is certainly going to appear at this year’s show.

Will we get the Super Smash Bros. port for the Nintendo Switch this year? Is Metroid finally returning? So many questions and hopefully we’ll get answers to them in June. iDigitalTimes will be at E3 this year so be sure to check back for all your Nintendo E3 news.

REVIEW SUMMARY
Super Mario Odyssey
10.0
Charming, Fun And The Best Game Of 2017
The Nintendo Switch title has slick controls, amazing visuals and a charm (there’s that word again) that I haven't come across before. The story is simple but supplemented with a large cast of new characters and worlds that expand the Mario Universe in a way that, hopefully, Nintendo can expand on for years to come. It’s accessible for younger players and challenging enough for veterans.
  • Visually pleasing
  • Great Story
  • Controls are amazing and uses Switch motion controls the best
  • Great new characters and environments
  • Could be more difficult
  • Camera angles can get annoying
