The search chronicles for the NES Classic Edition continues and the rare console is still as hard to find as ever. And once you find it, be prepared to jump through hoops to get one.

Obviously, the NES Classic Edition is incredibly high in demand and websites and the like are thinking of getting creative ways to offer the console to its customers. Just a month ago, Walmart had the console available on its website in small batches and the only way to get your hands on one was to refresh the page until it was available at a certain time. Via Polygon, ThinkGeek is currently offering another clever way to obtain a Nintendo NES Classic Edition.

Right now, in order to get the console, you’ll have to have an account or create one on ThinkGeek.com, find the NES, add it to your wish list and wait. Yes, you read that correctly – in other words, welcome to the “NES Classic Edition lottery,” presented to you by ThinkGeek.

Here’s the catch: you must add the NES Classic Edition to your wish list by Dec. 12. If you’re chosen, ThinkGeek’s mascot “Timmy” will send a unique code and the link to buy it. The code is good for 24 hours and if you don’t use it, you’ll lose it. Now, if you aren’t chosen, you’re able to continue adding the NES to your wish list until ThinkGeek is out of stock.

Give it a shot by going to ThinkGeek. Hey, at least we can try right? What’s the worst that could happen?

Nostalgia is a surprisingly powerful motivator to get people to purchase NES Classic Edition, especially when there are tantalizing bundle deals for the 4K-ready Xbox One S and PlayStation 4 Pro. If you really want the NES system, listings are also available on eBay at three times the price or higher, so be prepared to bid.

The NES Classic Edition retails for $60 and comes pre-loaded with 30 classic Nintendo games like Super Mario Bros., The Legend Of Zelda and Metroid. Have fun shopping!
