Just weeks after the first patch for NBA Playgrounds was released to mixed reviews, another update was released for the game. Patch 1.20 is now available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and the PC.

The highlights of Patch 1.20 have to be the addition of even more playable characters for NBA Playgrounds players. This update adds 48 more current and former NBA players to the game. Names such as Jason Kidd (New Jersey Nets), Yao Ming (Houston Rockets), Arvydas Sabonis (Portland Trail Blazers) and Kevin McHale (Boston Celtics). The constant addition of new players continues to add new matchups to an already stacked roster of players in NBA Playgrounds.

Another major update to NBA Playgrounds are the new tournaments added to the game. In Patch 1.20, newly playable tournaments were added for the cities of Venice Beach, Seattle, Madrid, and Chicago. The courts in both Chicago and Madrid were also unlocked for single games for players who just want to play one game and not a whole tournament. This gives players more options of new locales to play in and adds more depth to the game.

Major fixes important for gameplay were also made to NBA Playgrounds as well. Things like announcer speaking lines being triggered at the wrong times or players having the wrong backgrounds on the intro screens are things that are small, but does have an impact on players. With any game, it’s the little things that make a major impact. And for a game not from industry titans like EA Sports or 2K , the small things make an even bigger impact for the title’s future.
