NBA 2K18 Patch 7 is now live across a few platforms. Ahead of an official post by 2K, Forbes has copied the changelog. Here’s a brief glimpse of what to expect from the latest update.

  • Updated custom t-shirt kiosk coming
  • Portland and San Antonio’s courts have been updated to properly match their real-world counterparts.
  • Lonzo Ball and other player hairstyles have been updated to match his new look.
  • Fixed a bug where the number of timeouts left indication on the scoreboard was resetting between quarters.
  • The correct amount of VC should now be displayed at the end of Ante-Up games.
  • Fixed a hang that could occur when finishing a MyTEAM game with Spanish commentary enabled
  • MyPLAYER theme song will now play during the starting lineups when one is set.
  • Fixed an issue where players 96 overall or higher would hang when the opposing team quits out of an active Pro-Am Team Arena game.
  • When you lose a walk-on game, you will now be returned to the front of the walk-on building rather than at the starting spawn point in the Neighborhood.
  • Defensive settings panel for OTFC will now function for AI players in Pro-Am games.
  • Fixed an issue in MyGM/MyLEAGUE where a trade that sent Two-Way players to a team whose roster is full can result in one or more of those players disappearing from the league.

The main change worth noting here is the first one. Following controversy over VC payments tied to custom shirts that violated copyright terms, 2K has apparently adjusted the clothing creation system to make it fairer for others. The intent is that if you’ve purchased a custom shirt that gets taken down, any spent VC will be returned to your account automatically. However, because the feature isn’t quite live yet, we’ll have to wait and see.

The rest of the changes are fairly small, so it’d appear 2K has ceased major adjustments to 2K18 for the remainder of the year. While there are several minor shooting and career bugs left to patch, those will likely be addressed in a future update. Since these patch notes don’t come from the official 2K source, the publisher may post a more detailed version of these changes in the coming hours. If that happens we’ll do our best to update this article with any inconsistencies that may exist. The short of it is that Patch 7 for NBA 2K18 is a pretty small one. If you were frustrated by the t-shirt fiasco, though, at least 2K has heard your complaints.

NBA 2K18 is available now on PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Switch and PC. Update 1.07 will be dispersing across these platforms over the next handful of hours.

NBA 2K18 PS4 Review - Great Basketball With A Price
The action is fun and fluid, but the VC grind gets its grubby hands on everything and takes the shine off that noteworthy achievement.
  • Great basketball mechanics
  • Easy for new players to learn
  • MyGM's story content is a great starting point for the future.
  • The Neighborhood social hub feels empty and pointless
  • Microtransactions ruin what would otherwise be a fun experience
  • MyCareer story is a bit dull
