In the upcoming issue of Weekly Shonen Jump, an announcement of the next update for Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 will be revealed. This new update will be titled “Road to Boruto” and will be released physically and as a digital DLC.

According to Anime News Network, the physical “Road to Boruto” version of Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 and the DLC add-on will be released in February 2017.

The first-print limited edition of the physical game bundle will include a soundtrack for both the original game and the update, as well as a reversible box cover. The “Road to Boruto” update will allow players to play through the story of the Boruto manga.

Attendees of Tokyo Game Show 2016 will be able to play a demo of Sasuke vs. Kinshiki, a battle that appeared in the Boruto -Naruto the Movie.

Boruto and Sarada were already included when Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 was released this past February as a pre-order bonus, however, the contents of the “Road to Boruto” update are not yet revealed outside of the story elements. Perhaps we will get more characters from the Boruto manga.

A trademark for “Road to Boruto” appeared online in August, which many presumed was a brand new Naruto fighting game but it is a re-release of Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 for those who missed out on the original release or a DLC update for those still playing.

The “Road to Boruto” update is set to release in February 2017.
