Ansari confirmed the news on Twitter. His tweet read: “Master of None Season 2 coming 2017. Thanks for all the support everyone!!”

Earlier this year, Ansari told reporters at Netflix’s presentation at the Television Critics Association press tour in Pasadena, Calif. that he needed time to think about season 2.

“We’re figuring it out; I need some time to refill my head,” said Ansari, reports Variety, adding that: “whatever we do for season two lives up to what we made in the first season.”

Season one of the show ended with Ansari’s character, Dev Shah, headed to Italy while his romantic interest was off to Japan. Where will the show pick up? No decision has been made yet.

“We have a bunch of ideas bouncing around in our heads — it’s a little early to say anything,” said Ansari at the Television Critics Association press tour.

Season one of Master of None featured 10 episodes and released last year on Netflix on Nov. 6.
