The writer of Mass Effect Andromeda has joined the Destiny team BioWare

Chris Schlerf, the lead writer for Mass Effect Andromeda has announced on Twitter that he has left BioWare. To make it even more interesting, Schlerf also announced his new job: working at Bungie on Destiny.

Schlerf mentions that his time at BioWare was a good one, and he is not upset in any way about the departure. He ends his first wave of messages saying he is proud of his work on Mass Effect Andromeda, and fans should get excited about the high-quality game they will soon be playing.

The tweeting continues, as Schlerf then confirms he has a new job at developer Bungie. This means he will probably be joining the Destiny team to work out stories for the upcoming major expansion and sequel.

So what does this mean for Mass Effect Andromeda? Probably nothing. At this point in Mass Effect’s development, the writer’s work has been largely finished. What BioWare is doing now is polishing up gameplay and making everything work together.

So what do you think? Are you excited to see Schlerf coming to Destiny? Are you more excited for Mass Effect Andromeda? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
