Last month, news broke Black Flash would return later in The Flash Season 3, and on another DC TV show. Now we know that second TV show isn’t Supergirl or Arrow, it’s Legends of Tomorrow.

This doesn’t come as too much of a surprise, considering Legends is really the only show, aside from The Flash, that deals with time travel and speedsters. Legends also has Eobard Thawne, aka Reverse-Flash, and boy would that be an awesome matchup for Black Flash.

It would also be a long time coming. Reverse Flash has taunted Barry Allen since he was a child, all for his own selfish desires. Eddie Thawne sacrificed himself to eliminate Reverse-Flash’s connection to the speed force, thus erasing him from the timeline, but he lives on in other timelines on Legends. Now, he’s formed a supervillain group called Legion of Doom who are giving the Legends quite a bit of trouble lately.

Zoom transformed into Black Flash in The Flash Season 2 season finale. He was eaten by time wraiths and we saw Hunter Zolomon physically transform into a speedster resembling Black Flash from the comics. Hopefully, Black Flash is hunting down Reverse-Flash now that he’s basically the grim reaper of the speed force. Thawne certainly has done enough evil to the world, and its timelines, to become an enemy of Black Flash.
