Injustice 2 coming in 2017 NetherRealm

Injustice 2 has been announced for 2017, but the first actual gameplay footage will be shown June 11 during the Mortal Kombat X ESL Finals. The competition begins at 8pm EST and will be streamed on the official NetherRealm Studios Twitch channel .

The sequel to Injustice: Gods Among Us will bring the same superhero/villain fisticuffs that we loved but add some new wrinkles into the fighting system.

The new Gear System that will be implemented in Injustice 2 will bring an RPG element to the fighting game for the first time – players will be able to win and unlock different gear to equip their hero/villain to give them different attributes so that no two characters are alike.

Not only do fans get a brand new fighting system, Injustice 2 will bring new characters into the roster, including Supergirl, Gorilla Grodd and Atrocitus of the Red Lanterns.

Outside of the announcement trailer and the upcoming gameplay footage during ESL, Injustice 2 is expected to be shown off at E3 2016 on Monday, June 13 during the Sony presentation so be sure to check that out.

In the meantime, let us know what you hope to see during the ESL Finals this weekend for Injustice 2 and check out the Twitch stream below to see it for yourself.
