In a new trailer, Warner Bros and DC have announced the next DLC fighters joining Injustice 2 ’s latest fighter pack. DC characters The Atom and Enchantress will accompany the famous sewer-dwelling, pizza-munching Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles when Fighter Pack 3 launches.

Players who own Injustice 2 Ultimate Edition, Injustice 2 Ultimate Pack or Injustice 2 Fighter Pack 3 will have early access to each of the new fighters before they are individually available.

Injustice 2 Ultimate Edition and Injustice 2 Ultimate Pack add nine playable characters to the game, as well as three Premiere Skins with new looks, voice and dialogue and two exclusive Gear Shaders that allow players to customize their roster with alternate color themes. Injustice 2 Ultimate Edition runs players $99.99 and is currently available on Xbox One, Xbox One and PlayStation 4, while players who own the standard edition can get all the same additional content in the $39.99 Injustice 2 Ultimate Pack.

No release date is currently available for Fighter Pack 3, but Atom will be available for Early Access on Dec. 12. “The whole idea of having a character that can shrink and do attacks and stuff like that, we really felt we needed to introduce new abilities, fresh ideas to mix things up. To keep things really interesting in terms of character matchups. Atom really filled that role nicely,” NetherRealm Studios creative director Ed Boon commented.

In an interview with Player. One, Boon discussed how he and the Injustice 2 team decide who to add to the game’s massive roster. “Most of the time we know several of them, but we don’t know the entire list from beginning to end. There's a lot that has to be worked out before we can get confirmation of the character is going to be in the game, especially when there’s a guest character, when someone owns the rights to that character, like Hellboy,” Boon said.

“We always do have a list. There’s a list of ‘let’s just throw out names, this could work that could work” and then have like 20 characters, or something like that. And then we listen to what players are asking for,” Boon added.

The new fighters bring Injustice 2’s roster to 41 characters. Previous Fighter Packs added Red Hood, Starfire, Hellboy, Raiden and more.

Injustice 2 comes to PC on Nov. 14th. All previously released DLC for console will be available for purchase on PC, with Hellboy available at a later time. Are you looking forward to playing as any of Fighter Pack 3’s new characters? Feel free to let us know in the comments section below.
