With the official Coachella 2016 lineup released, Coachella festival passes may be the hottest ticket this side of 2017. The festival’s two major headliners are both long sought after reunions, and AEG Live, the production company behind Coachella, got nothing but net by signing LCD Soundsystem and Guns N’ Roses.
Festival passes to Coachella 2016 will go on sale Jan. 6 at 11 a.m. PST this Wednesday. This means that Coachella 2016 tickets will be going on sale at 2 p.m. EST and 1 p.m CST. Front Gate Tickets is the vendor that Coachella is using to sell tickets.
Considering that Coachella 2016 pre-sale tickets sold out in less than 3 hours after being released back in June, and that Coachella 2015 festival passes sold out in less than 40 minutes, you may want to bring your A-Game this Wednesday to make sure you’re one of the lucky few who manage to snag a ticket to the festival.
Once you’ve added a ticket to your checkout cart, you have ten minutes to complete the transaction before the ticket goes back up for grabs. The site is going to undoubtedly get swamped at ticket time, so you may want to organize ahead to expedite the process.
To pre-create a Coachella Front Gate Tickets account, you will want to go to the Coachella Weekend 1 Front Gate Tickets page or the Coachella Weekend 2 Front Gate Tickets page and click on ‘SIGN IN’ at the top menu bar. Resist the temptation to log in via Facebook, as if the server is getting swamped, the less complicated your login process is the better, and click on the ‘Sign Up’ tab. Enter in your information to create an account (Make sure log out and back in to save the password in your browser) and then head over to the Vacation Music Travel packages to see the info you need to have in a Word document, ready to copy paste.
You may be able to save your payment information to your Front Gate account beforehand by adding a travel package from this page to your checkout cart and canceling at the last step, but make sure you don’t hit ‘Confirm’ by accident.
The info you will need is: First Name, Last Name, Card Number, CVC/CCC, Exp. Month, Exp. Year, Contact Phone Number, Country, Billing Address, City, State and Zip/Postal Code.
The official page stating the availability status of Coachella 2016 tickets is located here. The only general admissions tickets left are Weekend 2 passes for $399. However, if you’re willing to pay $459, there are general admissions plus shuttle packages available for both weekends.
