President Frank Underwood just couldn’t help but try to upstage President Donald Trump on Inauguration Day.

Netflix original series House Of Cards released the first trailer for its upcoming fifth season. The opening teaser gives an ominous warning to fans. You hear young children recite the Pledge of Allegiance as the camera zooms out to reveal an upside down American flag. House Of Cards Season 5 premieres on May 30.

House Of Cards Season 4 ended with Frank and Claire Underwood preparing for war. The couple succeeded in getting Claire the nomination for VP, but it appears they’re quickly losing their pull in the White House. In a last effort, Claire suggests to Frank they declare war on terrorists to get the American people back on their side.

The plan is to allow release footage of a terrorist killing an American hostage in order to create buzz around them. It’s an extreme plan, but Claire and Frank won’t leave the White House without a fight. The plan might just be crazy enough to work.

It was an interesting move on Netflix’s part to release the teaser on Inauguration Day. It briefly distracted people Trump being officially sworn in, but only until Batman and Bane references started to pop up. Did we mention Trump may have quoted Bane during in inauguration speech? You can check that out here.

Yeah, Frank and Claire don’t look so bad now that Trump is president.
