GTA Online’s future is looking awesome as Rockstar has confirmed a number of new updates for the coming months. The new game modes include Transform Races, Condemned and Dogfight. GTA players will also get to drive two new vehicles -- one of which is basically the Batmobile.

The biggest announcement is Transform Races. This new race type will allow players to create mixed-vehicle races that include land, water and sky vehicles. According to the artwork, it looks like players can set up transition points. Once a racer goes through one of these points, his or her vehicle will instantly transform into whatever is next. This means players could start a race on the beach and head straight for the ocean. Once the tires hit water, the player’s vehicle can turn into a jetski. Rockstar even confirmed skydiving will be one of the “vehicles” to transform into, so expect tons of insane races coming once that update is released.

Also announced are two new game modes. The first, Condemned, sounds like an every-man-for-himself multiplayer mode where one person gets marked as a target to kill. If that marked player can kill someone else, the target status gets passed to a new player. Details on the new mode are scarce, but it sounds like the round will end if the target player is killed or if he or she manages to be the last one standing.

The second game mode, Dogfight, is exactly what it sounds like. Rockstar describes the mode as an “aerial fight to the death.” Expect planes or helicopters, missiles, big guns and explosions.

Also confirmed are two new vehicles. The first is the Coil Cyclone supercar and the other is the Batmobile-inspired Vigilante. Just look at that thing. It’s beautiful. I want it and it will probably be very expensive.

Rockstar also confirmed there will be updates to Legendary Motorsport’s inventory as well as new properties to purchase. Unfortunately, Rockstar didn’t provide any release information on any of the announcements, so we’ll just have to wait and see when each one is rolled out. We know the company updates GTA Online every Tuesday, so expect one or more of these new announcements to show up each week.

So what do you think? Are you excited for any of these race types, modes, vehicles or other new releases? What else would you like to see added to GTA Online? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
