The 2016 Grammys came and went, with Twitter breaking down every component of this year’s ceremony in real time. It was a year of firsts - like Justin Bieber winning his first Grammy, and Run DMC becoming the first rappers to ever be honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award. It was a night of remembrance, with Lady Gaga performing a stoic tribute to the late, great David Bowie. And it was a night of controversy, with Taylor Swift firing back at Kanye West’s infamous “I made [Taylor Swift] famous” line while receiving the Album of the Year award.

Not to mention Kendrick Lamar’s stunning, but politically charged ‘Alright’ / ‘The Blacker the Berry’ performance. The performative showcase of black pride was one of best Grammy performances in recent memory. But besides the Best Rap Album winner delivering a legendary concert, not much else happened at the 2016 Grammys. Adele weathered some faulty technical difficulties while performing her much-hyped set at the Staples Center, with a few other okay performances spread out in between.

Despite the unusually boring year, Twitter had plenty to say about this year’s Grammys. Tweets weighed in on the various performances, winners, snubs and an Internet-wide live stream failure on behalf of CBS. Relieve the 58th annual Grammy Awards through the best tweets of the 2016 show:
