Aw, jeez, Rick! We've still got to wait until 2018 to play Rick and Morty: Virtual Rick-ality on PlayStation VR? It's true, at least according to the folks at Adult Swim Games and Owlchemy labs, who announced the formerly PC-only VR title based on the hit Adult Swim show is coming to PlayStation VR in 2018.

The creators of the hilarious Job Simulator, Owlchemy Labs, have done an admirable job of distilling the raunchy and irreverent humor of Rick and Morty into a VR title that actually lets you explore Rick's garage, the Smiths' home, and some of the alien worlds you've seen on the show. Still trying to figure out if Rick is really cool or some sort of sociopath? You’ll have your mind made up after hanging out with him in virtual reality; or form a pretty strong opinion, at the very least.

You play as another typical Morty clone tasked with acting as Rick's assistant (more than his grandson, as usual). You'll help Rick with several of his harebrained schemes, hop into portals to strange places, and solve puzzles with Rick's direction. Most importantly, you can do all this while pretending you're hanging out in the world of Rick and Morty with some real "hands-on" time, thanks to PlayStation Move controllers and the PlayStation VR headset. Never again will you have to stand around wondering what, exactly, a "plumbus" is. You can feel it with your very own hands. Ingenious!

When we really think about it, Rick and Morty really is one of the best animated candidates for a game set in virtual reality. There are so many surreal moments that could best be illustrated via letting fans be "in" the show, especially when you start to get Mr. Meeseeks involved...and yes, you'll be able to get your Meeseeks on in the game.

Hopefully, before the game rolls around for PlayStation VR, Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon will have given us some sort of inkling as to when we can expect new episodes. We're still over here reeling from the last season.
