The Flash stars Candice Patton and Carlos Valdes attended Heroes & Villains Fan Fest in New Jersey and during their panel, revealed a few interesting clues about where The Flash Season 4 is headed. Even The Flash needs a therapist...

As seen in the The Flash promo released earlier this week, Barry will be a bit jumbled and different when he returns to the speed force. While Barry and Iris’ wedding is still scheduled for the crossover episode, Patton revealed couples therapy is in Barry’s future.

“We are getting a little bit more lighthearted and funny, and once Barry gets back from the speed force, Barry and Iris have to go to couples therapy to work through some issues. So there’s some really funny stuff coming up.”

If you remember from the Season 3 finale, Barry left unexpectedly when the speed force storm arrived. He barely said goodbye to Iris and spent more time asking Wally to take care of Central City. He didn’t consult with anyone, he just knew leaving was what he had to do. Obviously, his wife-to-be is going to be pretty upset when he gets back. Instead of taking a more emotionally sappy approach, as the series has done this past season, it looks like the writers are going to spin it humorously.

The panel also revealed a few other tidbits, such as how the death of H.R. will affect the team.

“As far as HR dying, iris felt terrible. He sacrificed himself. Candace felt great about it because I got to keep my job. Sorry HR.”

Carlos Valdes added the episode he just filmed with Gypsy and Danny Trejo, Gypsy’s dad, was his favorite episode to film ever. Three heroes who can vibe in one place? It better be his favorite episode ever.
