Ready for unnervingly anthropomorphic robots, dimly lit futurescapes and unsettling questions about what it means to be human? All 10 episodes of Amazon’s new sci-fi anthology series, Philip K. Dick’s Electric Dreams, will debut Friday, Jan. 12. You’ll need to have access to an Amazon account with a Prime subscription to stream or download episodes.

This article has been updated below to reflect Amazon's confirmation of the exact time episodes will be available.

Electric Dreams will be available exclusively through Amazon Prime Video in the U.S. and select territories globally, including Germany, India, Italy, Japan, Latin America, Spain and Turkey. You can access Prime Video through a whole host of devices: Smart TVs, PS4, Xbox One, Roku, Apple TV and (of course) Amazon Fire TV. Not sure if your device is compatible? Check out Amazon’s guidance about how to stream, here. Bear in mind, if you use Chromecast to access streaming services, the device does not officially support Prime Video.

Want to watch on the train? On a plane? Perhaps you’ve found yourself in an alternate timeline, traveling on some kind of interstellar craft to escape the dead husk of what was once Earth? Electric Dreams will be available to download to mobile devices for offline viewing at no additional cost. Again, you’ll need the Prime Video app to download episodes, which is available for iOS, Android and Fire tablets. Click on the show in the app, and click on the downward-pointing arrow alongside each episode title to begin the download.

We reached out to reps from Amazon, who confirmed Electric Dreams will be available Friday at midnight PST, or 3 a.m. EST. So if you're on the West Coast, you can probably get in an episode or two before bed on Thursday night.

Don’t have Prime, or can’t get your ingrate friends to share their login credentials? Consider signing up for a free 30-day trial at amazon.com/prime. Think of all the giant bags of gummi bears and hangers you can order in a month!

Each installment of Electric Dreams features a standalone plot adapted from one of Dick’s short stories, each with a unique writer and director. Some episodes take place in the future, while others feel closer to home. The cast varies from episode to episode, featuring familiar faces like Bryan Cranston, Richard Madden, Anna Paquin, Terrence Howard, Steve Buscemi, Greg Kinnear, Janelle Monáe and Liam Cunningham.

At New York Comic-Con back in October, Executive Producer Isa Dick Hackett credited Amazon for allowing “some of the gems” of her father’s work to reach a broader audience. “The golden age of streaming has allowed us to make things that wouldn’t have been made otherwise,” she said.
