EA Sports pledged a $200,000 donation to The Movember Foundation to help promote mental health and reduce male suicide. Movember spreads awareness every November by asking men to join the movement by growing out their mustaches. Since 2004, The Movember Foundation has been named one of The Global Journal’s Top 100 NGO . This November, EA Sports will team up with The Movember Foundation to raise money and awareness for men’s health.
In addition, four EA Sports titles will participate in Movember through each game's Ultimate Team modes. Let’s begin with FIFA 17:
FIFA 17
Major players from around the world, including Manchester United’s Zlatan Ibrahimović, will be participating in Movember for FIFA 17’s Ultimate Team. The athletes involved in Movember’s charity work will see themselves included in special items for the month, such as special cards users can obtain. There will also be special Movember Squad Building Challenges that were designed by FIFA community designer Emilio Sansolini. Successful completion of these Squad Building Challenges will get players special Movember kits.
Finally, some of the top FIFA YouTuber and Twitch players will participate in charity streams of FIFA 17 that will raise money for the Movember Foundation.
Madden NFL 17
From Nov. 9 through Nov. 15, Madden Ultimate Team will offer Movember player packs. MUT will give away an elite 87 OVR Movember player to all users who log in between Nov. 9 and 15, as well as releasing a card set to give players a chance to upgrade 10 gold players to one elite player.
NHL 17
Of course NHL 17 would be included with some of the awesome mustaches and beards in the sport. For the month of November, Movember player items will appear in packs each week. By using limited time Collectibles found in special Movember packs, you can complete Movember Sets. You can use the Movember Collectibles towards earning new Movember Epic Player Item Sets each week. If you are able to complete all eight Movember Epic Player Item Sets, you can earn the Movember Master Set, which will be unlocked on Nov. 22nd.
UFC 2
Movember items can be upgraded based on real-world fight results for the month of November, including the UFC’s first ever show at Madison Square Garden.
New Movember fighter items will be released in the limited Movember pack. All Movember items will start at Level 3 and will be boosted to a Level 4 or Level 5 depending on the real world fight results in November.
