The next arc of the Dragon Ball Super anime has been revealed by the official anime website , and will include a fan-favorite fighter from the DBZ years.

Future Trunks will return in Dragon Ball Super as the “Future Trunks” arc begins this June following the end of the “ God of Destruction Champa” arc that saw Goku and the Z fighters enter a tournament with Beerus and the other Gods of Destruction.

Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama is plotting the arc and designing the new characters, including the updated Future Trunks. From the image below, it looks like Future Trunks will be getting the Super Saiyan Blue treatment.

After the battle between universes six and seven in the “God of Destruction Champa” arc, what can possibly top the sheer level of power? Well, apparently Future Trunks comes to our present with some grave news (not surprising).

The Dragon Ball Super website teases, translated by Anime News Network , "Why has Future Trunks returned to the present again after defeating Cell and attaining peace?" and "Who will be the future's new enemy?"

Toriyama teased in a comment that the new enemy will be called "Goku Black." He also teased that the arc will involve both the Gods of Destruction and the Supreme Kai.

Perhaps Future Trunks is coming back to warn the Z fighters that Goku has turned evil? What else could “Goku Black” mean?

What do you think about Future Trunks’ new look? What about this “Goku Black”? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
