We’ve nearly reached the halfway point of this year’s Dota 2 world championship tournament, and Wednesday’s matches proved significantly more action-packed than Tuesday’s lineup. There were team wipes and other huge plays, including a comeback that sent Virtus Pro down to the Lower Bracket. The bad news continued for North American Dota fans, with Digital Chaos being eliminated by LGD-Gaming, but fan favorites OG moved one step closer to claiming their first Aegis of Champions with a decisive two-game series against TNC Pro Team.

We know life can make it difficult to watch all the action taking place during TI7 this week. That’s why we already rounded up the best moments and top matches from the first two days of this year’s Dota 2 world championship. And now we’re back with our picks for the top moments from Day Three of The International. The matches weren’t as close as some Dota 2 fans probably hoped for, but there was no shortage of highlight reel content to choose from on Wednesday.

Match of the Day

Invictus Gaming vs Newbee - Game 3

It only felt right to give Match of the Day honors to the only series that made it to Game Three. It might not have been as hectic as some of the other matches we saw on Wednesday. But it was clear that neither squad was ready to go home yet.

Top Plays

OG Overextend And Nearly Cost Themselves Game 2

OG only needed two games to eliminate Team Empire. But the team got a bit overconfident near the end of Game Two, resulting in a quad kill that could’ve been disastrous. OG did manage to recover and advance to the next stage of the Lower Bracket. Whether or not they learned their lesson remains to be seen.

AME Goes On A Rampage Against Digital Chaos

There’s really not much to say about this one. Just enjoy the show.

LFY Holds The Line And Reclaims The Momentum

Just when it looked like Virtus Pro would force a third game in their Best of Three series against LGD.Forever-Young, LFY managed to repel an attempt on their top lane barracks and never let VP regain momentum in the match. It would take another 10-plus minutes to secure the victory. But LFY finished the day as the third team to eliminate its opponent in just two matches.
