Destiny 2: Curse of Osiris
Destiny 2: Curse of Osiris Activision / Bungie

Activision and Bungie have announced the launch time for Destiny 2: Curse of Osiris, the first of two announced expansions for the shared-world shooter, along with the schedule for this week’s server maintenance. You can probably guess the order in which said events will transpire when the two-part process begins Tuesday morning.

Bungie says the Destiny 2 servers will be taken offline, starting at 10:00 a.m. EST, for three hours of maintenance that should prepare them for the game’s next patch (Update 1.1.0) and the influx of new content from Curse of Osiris . The studio expects the house cleaning to end around 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon and says Curse of Osiris will be accessible once the servers are back online. It’s a slightly later time than some would prefer, especially those who took the day off from work. The Destiny 2 community will have to wait until early afternoon (mid-morning on the west coast), which means fewer people will be finished with the DLC before they’re home for the evening.

Bungie hasn’t released detailed patch notes, so a full breakdown of what to expect from Update 1.1.0 is not available yet. We do have some idea of what it will include, thanks to last week’s "State of Destiny 2” address. This week’s patch should introduce Armor Ornaments, which allow players to further customize their gear, along with new shop offerings from Banshee and Master Rahoul. This week’s patch will also tweak the reputation token system in several ways, the most notable is players no longer need to complete Leviathan to redeem the tokens received after defeating raid bosses.

Destiny 2 is available for PS4, Xbox One and PC. Curse of Osiris debuts Dec. 5.
